This page explains how CD Howard approaches accessibility on cdhoward.com and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.

Our commitment

We want cdhoward.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification, or other assistive tools. Good accessibility is part of building a good site, not an extra. We treat it that way.

The standard we follow

We build cdhoward.com to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. WCAG is the global standard for web accessibility. AA is the level most public-facing sites should hit.

In practice, that means we work to make sure:

  • Text has enough contrast against its background
  • The site works with a keyboard only, with no mouse needed
  • Images that carry meaning have descriptions for screen readers
  • Forms have clear labels
  • Headings are in a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page
  • Touch targets are large enough to tap on a phone
  • We respect your "reduce motion" setting if you have one turned on

Known limitations

cdhoward.com is in active development. New pages and features ship often. We test for accessibility as we build, but issues do slip through.

If we know about a specific accessibility issue that we haven't fixed yet, we'll list it here. Right now, no specific known issues are documented. If you find one, please tell us using the contact info below.

How to report a problem

If something on cdhoward.com isn't working for you, please email us. Tell us:

  • The page where the problem happened (a URL is great)
  • What you were trying to do
  • What went wrong
  • The browser, device, or assistive tool you were using if you know it

We reply within 5 business days and fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can. If a fix will take longer, we'll tell you why and give you an estimate.
